About me

Whats all this then?

Thinkdad is the blog of a Dad and an Amateur Radio enthusiast, retrocomputing geek, and former telecom tech, trying to spread a little love and technology in a world dead set on enacting every one of Neil Gibsons cautionary tales. I’ve begun the process of setting up a 1990s style school computer lab, at home, for my kids! In true Linux geek fashion I"m doing this with a small stack of used thinkpads. My own laptop is a Thinkpad T490s, and my kids are both using Thinkpad X390s. Currently all of these are running Fedora KDE edition.

I currently hold a General Amateur Radio License, KJ6DRH, and a GMRS license WROM953. You can help supoort this madness by buying me a Cuppa on Ko-Fi!
